In May 2001 my friend Klaus Trummer started a tour with his caravan to France in order to collect material for his new project - a slide show about France portraying the people and the landscape of this beautiful country.

I was invited to join Klaus on this journey and so he picked me up in Munich and we drove via Kempten and Switzerland to the southern part of the Elsaß region. From there we went North towards Straßburg, then further on to Verdun and to the capital of the Champagne region, Epernay.

The highlight of this journey was of course the days we spent in Paris, the most exciting and beautiful city in France.

After two weeks I had to say good bye to Klaus and travel home again. He however continued his journey to the northern parts of France.
