Many of my recent journeys I did together
with my good old friend Klaus Trummer.
That’s why I asked him if he would like to
join me again on my trips to London and
Paris in May 2010. Our common interest in
photography was a good basis for the
various activities we undertook in these 2
cities. For his customers - mainly teachers
in Austrian schools - Klaus even kept a
diary of his adventures during his travels
which you can read here. Due to lack of
time for translation the diary is in German
only.
We started our journey with a visit in
London. Klaus headed for London a few
days before me and had already taken lots
of photos when I arrived at London Gatwick
on June 5th. The weather forecast for the
upcoming days sounded really bad - rain
and thunderstorm were expected. The
reality was then a little more gracious with
us - no thunder and lightning and only short
showers of rain. That’s why we were able
to take some nice pictures from this
beautiful city which you can admire on the
next pages.
During our travel with the Eurostar we
crossed the Channel and reached again
the European mainland. After 2 hours 20
we arrived at our second travel destination
- Paris, the beautiful city at the banks of the
Seine. The weather was again rather
unsettled, but in general we were lucky and
had only to pause for half a day while it was
heavily raining. Paris is always worth a visit
and this time again the city managed to
astonish me with all their sights and events.
I hope you are curious to see some of the
photos which I took during the 5 days stay
in this marvellous city.
